OSO 57C Production Optimization Project in Nigeria

CHALLENGE:

Exxon Mobil requested three fast track and custom-made valves to be delivered in 10-12 weeks for OSO 57C Production Optimization Project in Nigeria. This field is located offshore Nigeria, in Akwa Iborn State, in the Bight of Bonny, and is approximately 12 miles from onshore and 30 miles southwest of the onshore Qua Iboe Terminal (QIT).

SOLUTION:

AMPO POYAM VALVES successfully supplied customized 3 forged pieces trunnion design ball and casted check valves up to 14” with pressure range varying from 900 lbs to 2500 lbs in 10-12 weeks, due to our Fast track services. Check valve seats were hardfaced by a Stellite weld overlay in order to improve valve performance.

Khazzan gas project ( Block 61 Khazzan, Makarem, Oman)

CHALLENGE:

BP requested several highly engineered austenitic stainless steel gate and metal seated ball valves in 20 weeks for a plant expansion project (Khazzan Phase 3).

Khazzan is a major tight gas project operated by BP in central Oman, around 280 kilometres southwest of capital Muscat and the unconventional gas field is located onshore in Block 61. This field is hugely technically challenging and is characterised by low permeability and porosity, requiring the drilling and stimulating of several hundred wells.

SOLUTION:

AMPO POYAM VALVES was able to produce and deliver these highly engineered austenitic stainless steel gate and metal seated ball valves with short term deliveries in just 20 weeks because our foundry and machining shop are fully in line with our manufacturing processes and because we also have a strong supplier’s network close to our manufacturing plant.

AMPO POYAM VALVES is considered one of the world’s leading manufacturers of metal seated ball valves and highly engineered gate valves and it offers a wide range of valves for the upstream industry.

La Rábida Energy Park (Andalusia, Spain)

CHALLENGE:

CEPSA started to produce advanced biofuels (2G) with used cooking oils at its La Rabida refinery. The project revalues the plant that was designed to remove sulfur from fossil fuels into a new installation capable of producing sustainable diesel (hydrobiodiesel), from vegetable oil, vegetable residues or fats of animal origin not intended for human consumption. This has been an important milestone towards a more sustainable energy model as well as to promote circular economy, which has been developed in record time and thanks to an innovative process managed by CEPSA. In 2022 the company requested AMPO to provide 15 pressure seal design gate valves in Inconel 625 and WC6 in 16-18 weeks for a planned shutdown at La Rábida Energy Park.

SOLUTION:

AMPO POYAM VALVES was able to produce and deliver these 15 highly engineered and special valves with short term deliveries in just 16 weeks because our foundry and machining shop are fully in line with our manufacturing processes and because we also have a strong supplier’s network close to our manufacturing plant.

AMPO POYAM VALVES is considered one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high pressure service valves and the pressure rating for those pressure seal design valves was up to 1500#.

AMPO POYAM VALVES is an approved vendor for CEPSA, who trusted in AMPO for the development of this project due to our flexibility, experience, quality and response capability. AMPO is completely in line with CEPSA’s strategy of transforming their energy parks to promote decarbonization by producing green molecules, mainly biofuels and green hydrogen, and we are committed to be CEPSA’s and other worldwide end user’s best partner in achieving sustainability goals and to go beyond net zero carbon intensity.
