ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATED VALVES FOR RAS TANURA REFINERY IN SAUDI ARABIA

AMPO POYAM VALVES is currently supplying more than 800 highly engineered gate, globe and check valves for Ras Tanura refinery, which is the oldest refinery on the Persian Gulf coast and is located near the industrial port city Jubail, in Saudi Arabia.

This plant has a crude distillation capacity of 550,000 barrels per day (bpd) and it is owned and operated by the state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco.

Saudi Aramco and the EPC contractor for this project, Tecnicas Reunidas, have trusted in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of more than 800 stainless steel and carbon steel gate, globe and check valves. The valves’ sizes ranges from 2” to 66” and the pressure range vary from 150 lbs to 600 lbs.

Moreover, some of this highly engineered valves have electro-hydraulic actuators.
