Houston based Cheniere energy shipped out in December its first cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas from its Port of Corpus Christi in Texas, where thousands of highly engineered AMPO POYAM valves are currently installed.
The LNG was loaded on the LNG Carrier Maria Energy, which headed for Greece.
The Corpus Christi liquefaction facility consists of three large-scale LNG production trains and supporting infrastructure, with an additional seven smaller trains proposed.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied since 2012 more than 4,000 highly engineered valves for the first two trains of Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG project, and also a series of valves for trains 1 to 5 of the Sabine Pass LNG liquefaction project, whose customers were also Cheniere and Bechtel. Moreover is currently supplying more than 1750 highly engineered valves for Cheniere’s Corpus Christi Train 3: manual cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic globe and check valves, as well as actuated cryogenic and non-cryogenic ball valves and metal seated valves. The valves’ sizes range up to 42” and the pressure range is varying from 150 to 900 lbs. It is important to mention that besides the outstanding isolation capability of our big sized cryogenic top entry ball valves, these valves reduce the pressure drop in the line and consequently, smaller equipment may be used.
As usual, AMPO POYAM VALVES will also provide on-site after sales services, supporting the construction, commissioning and start-up of the Train 3, with a team of some engineers of AMPO SERVICE, in order to ensure a successful start-up and maintenance of the project.
