HIGHLY ENGINEERED SURFACE BALL AND GLOBE VALVES FOR THE ZULUF TIE-IN PLATFORM UPGRADE IN SAUDI ARABIA

AMPO POYAM VALVES will support the ambitious upgrade of the Zuluf Tie-In Platform (ZTP) 5 in Saudi Arabia by designing, manufacturing and delivering a range of highly engineered top-site MOV ball and globe valves. Designed to meet the most demanding specifications, these valves – up to 16” and 1500 lbs – will feature advanced Inconel 625 weld overlays, ensuring exceptional durability and reliability in extreme operational conditions. Cladding operations will be completely performed at our facilities in Spain by using our own machining and cutting-edge weld overlay cladding technologies consisting of diverse welding robots and cladding cells with a high level of automation. The overlays will provide anticorrosive qualities and wear resistance, anti-coking, metal dusting resistance, etc. to the sealing and contact areas of the valves.

For this demanding project, Lamprell, as the selected EPC contractor, and Aramco, as the end user, placed their trust in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacturing of those valves that will play a crucial role in diverting and controlling process fluids at the Zuluf platform binders. Valves will be installed during a plant shutdown, for which the material supply and readiness will be key, and a challenge that AMPO will encounter. The upgrade and installations project at Zuluf Tie-in platform (ZTP) 5 involves enhancing three production deck modules (PDMs), installing a slipover PDM, constructing a new PDM, and upgrading ZTP 5.
