AMPO HAS RECEIVED THE GIPUZKOA AWARD FOR BEST COMPANY OF 2024

This Friday, April 19, AMPO, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, received the Gipuzkoa Award for Best Company of the year, awarded by the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce.

The award recognises AMPO’s global leadership in a sector of high technological value, its effort to develop a business model aimed at service, together with its key position as a player in the global energy transition as well as its commitment to society and people.

Aritz Irastorza, President of the Governing Council of AMPO and Ibon Imaz, Managing Director of AMPO, have collected the award during the ceremony that took place at the headquarters of the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce in Donostia, and they have shared this recognition with all the AMPO team, thus recognizing the great effort, dedication and commitment of its people. They have also wanted to share this distinction with the founders and retirees of the company, thus highlighting their courage, know-how and commitment shown over decades.

During the ceremony, the AMPO representatives highlighted the values on which the company’s activity is based, presenting AMPO as a project based on people and commitment and as a pioneer company in this field, having been working with a collaborative model for more than 20 years and constantly encouraging the participation, involvement and professional development of its people. They have also highlighted that continuous innovation and creativity are fundamental pillars that drive them to design and develop new technological solutions and more intelligent systems, and that they always work with a clear customer orientation and with service as a foremost, which are possible thanks to the great flexibility of the organization. All this to continue being an economic and social driver of its society, and advance the energy transition towards a more decarbonized economic model, in line with the global sustainability goals. Finally, they have also highlighted that AMPO wants to continue being a leader in industries of high technological value where solutions to severe service applications are required and where adding value is key. They thus want to be industry partners to provide engineering solutions, instead of being simple suppliers of products such as valves and castings.
