World’s largest 60” cryogenic ball valves for Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project (CCL) in USA
CHALLENGE:
To meet the demanding technical and operational requirements of Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG plant by delivering highly engineered valve solutions, including the largest cryogenic ball valves ever manufactured, capable of operating reliably under extreme cryogenic conditions while ensuring perfect isolation and long-term performance.
SOLUTION:
Since 2012, AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied over 16,000 valves to the Corpus Christi project, including cryogenic, non-cryogenic, high-temperature metal seated ball valves, and HIPPS valves.
The highlight: the delivery of 60” cryogenic ball valves — the largest of their kind in the world — designed, manufactured, and tested entirely in-house. These valves ensure optimal performance, reliability, and maintainability, playing a critical role in the efficiency and profitability of the plant. Additionally, AMPO’s involvement in the Corpus Christi project extended beyond valve manufacturing. The company provided expert advice on valve selection and configuration, leveraging decades of experience to address the specific needs of the plant. Moreover AMPO SERVICE team remains always available to support installation and ongoing operations, ensuring seamless integration and long-term reliability.
