AMPO S.COOP. has received a grant through the Basque Government’s Hazitek programme for the development of two of its Research and Development projects, entitled “WH2YTE” and “AMPO-CFP.”
The main objective of the WH2YTE project is to study and assess the different technologies for the detection and utilization of existing natural hydrogen sources, applying Artificial Intelligence-based image analysis tools, and to advance knowledge in the detection, extraction and treatment of this gas so that it can become part of the hydrogen economy as a key resource for the decarbonization of industry.
The AMPO-CFP project (“Cast like Forged Products”), meanwhile, aims in the short term to acquire the necessary know-how to increase technological capabilities in order to manufacture centrifugally cast ball sizes 50% larger than the current feasibility limit of this casting technology, while simultaneously improving the mechanical properties currently achieved by 30% compared to standard supply.
