AMPO SERVICE HAS BEEN AT ZEEBRUGGE LNG FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR PROVIDING COMMISSIONING AND START-UP SERVICES

Belgian natural gas operator FLUXYS LNG placed its trust again in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the construction and commissioning valve services for its Z3 capacity increase project at Zeebrugge LNG. As a result, over the course of a year, AMPO SERVICE technicians have been on-site in Belgium in order to support the technical staff of Fluxys LNG. Their mission: to help extend valves´ service life, supporting the pipe cleaning process, assembling internal valve components as well as actively participating in the commissioning and start up processes of the plant.

AMPO POYAM VALVES supplied in 2022 and 2023 around 660 highly engineered cryogenic manual and actuated valves for this capacity increase project and the valves have been installed in the new sea water LNG vaporizers and are also being installed in truck loading stations at Zeebrugge LNG. Through this project Fluxys will strategically expand the regasification capacity of this plant to 6mtpa and reduce CO2 emissions, as well as increase and automate the number of LNG truck loading bays.

Building upon a longstanding partnership, AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied more than 2,500 highly engineered cryogenic valves to Fluxys for its different construction and capacity increase projects since 2006, and thanks to the outstanding performance of our AMPO SERVICE technicians and experts in the commissioning services during plant construction and start-up services of previous phases, the Belgian natural gas operator relied once again in AMPO for a year-long Field Engineering Services contract.

With over 40 years of experience in the LNG industry, AMPO has secured FLUXYS’s trust for key service contracts like these. The Belgian operator is currently a key distribution platform in the market, a main gateway to the European gas grid, and this project reaffirms AMPO’s strategic decision to consolidate its leadership across the entire natural gas value chain.
