In 2015 volunteers of AMPO participated in a Project known as: “A future in Ethiopia through cycling”. The objective of this project, in collaboration with a Cycling association and the Ethiopia Utopia Foundation, was to launch an academy in the Basque Country for five Ethiopian cyclists and their coach in order to improve their educational skills (languages, IT,…)as well as their training. Back in Ethiopia, the five Ethiopian cyclists created a cycling school for children to share the knowledge that they acquired during their stay at the Basque Country.

As a result of this project, three of the five Ethiopian cyclists have been engaged by two Spanish cycling teams and they will have the opportunity to participate in the Spanish 2016 season.
