Slurry services are basically all applications related to working with an abrasive fluid with solids in suspension, which is very difficult to transport and requires a very special and robust design in the equipment.
There are some extreme conditions of the slurry service: High pressure, High temperature, Corrosion, Abrasion, Erosion, Acidic products, Lethal Media and Heavy solids build-up among others.
Slurry Ball Valves are used in several critical services such as autoclave, DRI (direct reduced iron), slurry transport pipelines for the mining industry (copper, iron, gold, silver) and other severe services applications where solids in suspension are involved, such as hydrocracking in oil refineries.
